Old News

I finally got round to photographing and uploading photos of the Richmond book which I made and sold to raise funds for Rare Kingston.
All the drawings/photographs were made over one weekend in yorkshire. You can see them all on my website now HERE (!)

In other news, I'm off to Strasbourg for a week. Expect some french/german drawings when I get back.

Some snaps from Cornwall - apologies for the lines, my camera is old and ridden with faults

After a week of being stuck literally head first in goods cages trying to find very specific cushions at work, what better way to end the week than by designing cushions for Ohh Deer's cushion competition

I have this problem where if I think about a brief too much and plan what I'm going to do, when I sit down to do it I do the exact opposite. I have no idea which 2 of these 5 to choose. Opinions welcomed.

Finally got my pictures developed from Yorkshire - camera jammed and the film got a little damaged, hence the lines you can see on some of them.

After trying and failing to draw the harbour (and ripping it up) i settled on just drawing a little boat in the sea, and then I stressed out about how many colours are in the sea, so I drew some nice rocks. I like the rocks.

Find the dog..

Drawing from Coverack in Cornwall, the sea is mighty hard to draw with coloured pencils.
I tried for so long to try and capture this lady walking her dog, but they just blended in with the rocks. If you spot the rock that looks like a dog comment/ email me and i'll send you a mix of some printy things in the post.

A quick sketch from the lizard peninsula

Just got back from Wagrain in Austria which is pretty much my spiritual home. It wasn't really a drawing holiday but I sneaked in a few drawings anyway. I did the pencil sketch in a peaceful moment in the gondola lift, just wanted to capture the line of the mountains.  The stamp is from the top of a little (but tiring) walk we did.

A family hut by the JägerSee (hunting lake?)

Alpine huts from the valley (with attempted misty trees)

Drawing feeds my soul, and Austria feeds my soul.

My soul is feeling very much full.

Yorkshire Sheepies

For some reason, even though I was surrounded by the most beautiful yorkshire landscapes, I found it most relaxing to draw the sheep, perhaps because I wasn't being bitten to death by midges..
