Recent project where we had to create a campaign to raise awareness for Anthony Nolan, who desperately need people to sign up to their bone marrow register. Bone marrow donation is nowhere near as black and white and grainy as I imagined, in fact its a lot like giving blood. I've signed up! Have a look at http://www.anthonynolan.org/ if you fancy.
I ended up making a little game where you had to find the perfect match, based on the idea that there are millions of different types of blood tissue and usually only a few matches for each patient. It's actually quite hard, find the match!

This brief was designed to be seen recto and verso in a magazine ( so on the same piece of paper)
I used the bird as a metaphor for people and showed the pro contraception side as two birds together free and the rest of the birds are perforated, then on the other side you would push all of the other birds out of the page, leaving you with an overpopulated page, like if we didnt have contraception! i will probably do this a bit more so that the page falls apart completely when you start to push the birds out. enjoy!

Apologies for the really bad phone photos. This is a series of 3-D posters i did for a latest project about something you are passionate about. I chose maths and all of these shapes are based on the golden ratio or the letter phi. They come flatpack with a net on the back and you just cut it out and put it together and hey presto. i will be screenprinting lots so let me know if you want one. better shiny photos to come x

This is a painting of a photo from Lindesfarne that I did for my boyfriend's parents as a gift. I'm not sure it was quite as cloudy as i made it out to be, but I would still very much like to go one day.

Quick, very quick, redesign of the cover of caitlin moran's 'how to be a woman' which i've just finished reading. cannot recommend it enough. Hilarious and at the same time raises some very logical arguments on the state of feminism today. The cover was hard to redesign, as the book is predominantly the story of Caitlin Moran's life, the current cover which has a portrait of her on the front is very fitting. I focused loosely on dress size and the style of instruction manuals. I promised to redesign the cover from every book I read, so ta da. Next: The Hobbit.

I've been trying to redesign the cover of every book i read recently. This is one i did for Alfred Bester's 'The stars my destination'.
I chose the red swirls and simple design because of the tiger mask on gully foyles face, and also in contrast to the very detailed cover that exists currently (as you can see below), i wanted to do something much simpler but still eye-catching.
'The star's my destination'is a really good book if you're into sci-fi.

Got really into the idea of individuality and shapes and colours today, definitely going to progress this further. I decided to combat my love of monochrome with coloured pastels, lets hope it stays colourful.
